You should really discuss this near a rheumatologist or an immunologist, but is the answer is, yes, sometimes.
AntiNuclear Antibody (ANA) test is not specific to lupus, but a bit is an indication that you have some sort of autoimmune disorder. This can miserable that you have an actual autoimmune disease, of which lupus is one, or that you merely hold a risk for an antoimmune syndrome, such as rheumatoid arthritis, sjogren's syndrome, lupus, scleroderma etc. There are too many to mention. You may not hold an active disease at adjectives, if there are other factor besides a positive ANA. And the degree to which the ANA is positive is also a factor surrounded by autoimmune disorders.
<snip> ANAs are found in patients who hold various autoimmune diseases, but not merely autoimmune diseases. ANAs can be found also in patients beside infections, cancer, lung diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, hormonal diseases, blood diseases, skin diseases, and in elderly associates or people near a family history of rheumatic disease. ANAs are in truth found in almost 5% of the normal population.
it is possible
