Do I call for malaria tablets?

I'm going to Mauritus in July and I've have my travel jabs and the nurse said I would need some Malaria tablets too but I've looked it up and the pattern says I don't have need of them. What do you think? They are also awfully expensive.Do I call for malaria tablets?
