I am going to Japan next week and hear about the measles outbreak. I am a Singaporean born surrounded by 1973 and probably had be vaccinated as a child. Does anyone know if I still obligation MMR? thanksDo I want Measles, Mumps & Rubella inoculation?
If you've be vaccinated, see your doctor and enjoy an MMR titer drawn. The blood work can tell you if you're immune but don't hesistate -do it asap. And you should own worried about this long ago. Even if it turns out you're not immune and you bring a booster vaccination, it won't be successful for at least a month, so you'll still be susceptible when you move about next week. Your body can't build full immunity that quickly. Just try to pay attention on your trip.
yes and every 10 years we are to get a booster shot
you really obligation to find out if you were vaccinate or not and if theres no way for you to get hold of this information, then yes deffinantly you necessitate to be vaccinated. these diseases can be poisonous, hence why there is a vaccine for it surrounded by the first place. and if you were vaccinate and you dont know about it, another dose wont hurt you.
Chances are you've have your MMR as a child we all take 2 doses and it's a lifetime vaccine. But just to be not dangerous you should have your Doctors organization draw your blood and do a titer and that can determine if your immune. If your not immune get the Vaccine right away as it does appropriate time to build immunity inwardly the body. You should also check the CDC website to see if the outbreak is really in the nouns you are traveling in.
