HELLO,I'M ERIC..I WAS DIAGNOSED W/COLON CANCER A YR. AGO,I NO LONGER HAVE A RECTUM OR COLON,I,M WEARING A DOO-DOO BAG.MY BUTT HAS YET TO HEAL FROM SURGERY,MY ONCOLOGIST SENT ME A CERTAFIED LETTER STATING HE COULD NO LONGER BE ASSISTANCE TO ME BECAUSE I WAS DENIED FINANCIAL AID AT THE HOSPITAL.I HADN'T BEEN ABLE TO SIT ON MY BUTT IN 10 MONTHS FROM THE CONSTANT DRAINAGE.THE LETTER STATED I HAD TO FIND ANOTHER ONCOLOGIST.ANY INFO. WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED,,,,THKS FOR READING.Does anyone enjoy info.roughly speaking cancer state aid or cancer fianancial assistance?

You may qualify for your state Medicaide/Medicare program.
Since you are disabled you will probably qualify for other programs as very well (social security disability and insurance).
Not sure why you be denied financial aid at the hospital or exactly what is taking place here. But, abundant hospitals offer free or low cost medical comfort through the Hill Burton federal program. You can locate the hospital closest to you that will offer this program . . or phone up your hospital and ask about it.

You should enjoy applied for state medical insurance the minute you were diagnosed if you have no private insurance. I applied for Medicaid when I had a broken hip and no insurance, but I be denied and went to our county hospital. But, when I be diagnosed with duplicate cancer you have, I go and applied for Medicaid and was approved from the time the diagnosis was made. I am suprised that the social workers at the hospital you go to didn't apply for this for you. Most hospitals do this type of thing for patients first item if you have no mode to pay.
