Does anyone know how to go and get a childhood cancer support group started?

I live in Kansas and my sister and I enjoy been hosting fundraisers for childhood cancer awareness. To our suprise, we enjoy found several other children in our nouns diagnosed with cancer. The source behind the two of us doing the fundraising hard work is my daughter was diagnosed near cancer at 2 y/o. She is now 15! She wishes to help other kids next to cancer as much as she can!
I did some research and found out that there isn't any characteristics of support/resource system in Kansas or Oklahoma!
As a parent of a child beside cancer and caring individual, I want to start a support group/foundation for family like mine. But I dont know where on earth to look or how to even being doing this. Does anyone own any ideas or suggestions?Does anyone know how to go and get a childhood cancer support group started?
Start near the hospital she was treated at or the hemo/oncl doctors office she is seeing. They usually have some form of social worker that can assist you or at least point you surrounded by the right direction. If that doesn't help, walk to your local American Cancer Society chapter they might be able to assist you. Maybe try on here by looking up other foundations who might want to start a unsullied chapter in your nouns. Of even your local sports groups, football, baseball or whatever. A lot of the sports those look to help our contained by the community.
Email me off index. I am in Oklahoma and would LOVE to own something like this! We hold the OCCA (Oklahoma Children's Cancer Association) that does special events for kids with cancer, but it is not really a support group.
What around talking next to your child's oncologist? Maybe decide on a appointment place, ask a doctor to talk and post fliers at your child's doctors department or clinic.
