Does anyone know what size an enlarged spleen is ?

I had an ultrasound scan on my stomach\ chest and be told my spleen was 15cm by my Doctor. My Doctor said my spleen be slightly swollen. Just wondering if anyone knows what size a regular spleen is and what size is classified as enlarged. I have backache in the left-side of my hindmost, ribs and stomach with hiccuping and upset swollen stomach ( on the departed again!) . I was told by my Dr. and contained by my research found out that the spleen can vary surrounded by size in any human being at any time. There are a lot of fearsome diagnoses out there for enlarged spleen(splenomegaly). Most probable is from mono. Pain is probably from your spleen rubbing against your ribs. Reflux tablets can help the upset stomach, but does zilch for the actual spleen. If it gets too impossible you can always own it removed with risks. Have the test your doctor requests and inform yourself. I have bene going through impossible to tell apart problem for three years wtih no diagnosis as of yet. Good luck!
