The number of those currently infected with HSV 2 is over 50million. Remember that this does not pilfer into account those infected next to type 1 genital herpes. Currently 70% of all trial genital herpes infections in those contained by the college age range are type 1. Yet in attendance are no studies or statistics being done to determine how heaps in the broad population currently have it.
So how plentiful people contained by the US actually own genital herpes? No one knows for sure. But in that is no question that the total number is much better than the 1/4 that has type 2 genitally.
